My abstracts are purely for artistic enjoyment. They are devoid of concept and needed in my art practice for that exact reason. They are made in selfish pursuit of color and sinuous form. The shapes are made and then perhaps I’ll see something. I have been thinking of New Mexico during fall so green chili and caves appeared nostalgically.
