My abstract paintings are inspired by Rorschach tests and are part of an ongoing project to document the subjectivity of perception. Like cloud watching, people always see different images within these works and their unique visual interpretation is very exciting. At times, a viewer’s visual projection is a shared experience but half the time, I’ll never see the image they are adamant is visceral! The ongoing question is, what are the sources for people’s unique responses? I have come to include memory, mood and degree of imagination.
